Hello to all!

First, I must apologize for the lack of updates in the last year. A lot has happened between 2008 and now. The biggest change was that I found a new job and my responsibilities forced me to change my modus operandi. Eventually, I developed a new system of working and after a few technical hurdles, book 2 was finally completed. My team and I took our time because we really wanted the quality of this issue to be an upgrade on it's predecessor. I hope the results speak for themselves.

It was a long road, but the journey was worth it. So thank you all for your patience. More info coming on where to purchase a copy. Until next time...

Just a quick update on the progress of the cover for issue 2. Still a work in progress, but you can see how Damani's polishing up the figure to great effect.

^^ This is the page one re-inked and re-colored. You can clearly see the difference. The result is a similar, but more refined style. It's cleaner and not as dark. Colors by Anthony Lofton.

Here's the pose we chose. Also, Damani thinks I made the Samaritan chrome to punish him for something he did to me in another life. Well... there may be SOME truth to that. He does draw my own character BETTER than me!!!

Update on issue # 2

Finally, a NEW blog entry! I know it's been a while since my last post, but believe me, it was for GOOD reason.

Right now, I'm hard at work on The Cosmic Samaritan # 2. This time however, I'm not working alone. I've brought along some fresh new talent to help with the next installment.

Enter Damani Hughes, a good friend of mine who's illustrating the cover for issue 2. You've seen his work before. Damani was the first to submit Cosmic Samaritan fan art. In the pics above, he's digitally coloring his original drawing. Keep checking for updates later this week to see how this sucker looks in color! It's some of his best work ever. Seriously.

And meet Anthony Lofton. I posted a while back that Anthony would be the colorist for book two. Here he is on the job in the last two pics. In the coming months, I'll be posting updates on our progress. We're working hard to make sure issue two tops the original. Until next time, my peeps!

I've ordered quantity copies from my printer, ComiXpress, and I'm selling them out. Really fast. So far, early feedback has been quite positive. Write in your reviews on the book. I'll post them up here on the blog as soon as I can. Some I'll try to publish in the next issue.
